3Vegan Fam Festival until 2024 had been held annually in Cyprus at the stunning Ancient Olive Tree Park, Psematismenos Village, Larnaca. Our return visit in September 2025 will be held in a brand new venue The Psematimenos Cultural Centre and promises to be even more exciting.
2Veganism is a rapidly growing lifestyle in Cyprus and all over the world. People turn towards a vegan lifestyle for ethical, environmental and health reasons.
4Veganism has been steadily growing in popularity, driven by increasing awareness of health benefits, environmental concerns, and ethical considerations. More people are exploring plant-based options, not necessarily as a strict commitment, but as a way to make more conscious food choices.
One major factor in this shift is education. Many individuals who previously never considered a plant-based diet are now learning about the broader impact of their food choices. Documentaries, social media, and personal stories have helped bridge the gap, making the conversation around plant-based eating more approachable and relatable. The annual **Veganuary campaign**, which encourages people to adopt a plant-based diet for January, has seen exponential growth—jumping from **1.8 million participants in 2024 to 25.8 million in 2025**. This rise highlights a growing interest in exploring plant-based lifestyles.
The market reflects this shift as well. The **global plant-based diet market was valued at USD 14.4 billion in 2023 and is projected to reach USD 31.1 billion by 2032**, growing at a **compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 8.2%**. In the UK alone, the number of people identifying as vegan grew by **1.1 million from 2023 to 2024**, bringing the total to **2.5 million adults (3.7% of the population)**.
Instead of focusing on restrictions, a growing movement emphasizes abundance—highlighting flavorful, satisfying, and nutritious plant-based meals that appeal to everyone, not just vegans. The goal isn’t to pressure or divide but to encourage curiosity, offering practical, small steps that align with everyday life.
The rise of plant-based eating is less about labels and more about inclusivity. Whether someone swaps out a meal a week, tries a plant-based alternative, or simply learns more about food systems, each step contributes to a larger movement of mindful choices. The conversation continues to evolve, centered around shared values of health, sustainability, and compassion—without judgment.
